Are you reluctant to give love? Most days do you have a feeling of ill-will? Maybe you are harboring a grudge. That is when you will not budge from your melancholy thoughts. Why are you not moving on from seeing situations in twisted ways? It sure sounds like sludge that is a grudge. There is a song by a British quintet entitled, “A Grudge in the Key of Sludge” that was released on July 29th, 2013 that captures your sad disposition.

Blood, Sweat And Tears

Some may see life nothing more than "blood, sweat and tears." It is true there can be hard times when we work and struggle to accomplish some goals. As the saying goes, “No pain, no gain.” Often we make sacrifices, putting our hands to the wheel while laboring at tasks. Such tasks do not necessarily have to be manual but can be any type of undertaking. For example, studying to have an education can be most challenging. Students may fear taking some courses because of their difficulty. Some of these may be in the sciences. Yet there are those that may love courses that deal with science and technology. Still, there are those that may struggle with a physical activity, English Literature or a foreign language. But through it all, do we have to feel as though we are ill-suited for the rigors of life? Certainly not!

There is a contemporary jazz-rock American music group – Blood, Sweat And Tears, that was well known for their music in the late 1960s to the early 1970s, a brainchild of the legendary Al Kooper, that put a new spin on the words of the group's name. This group has brought joy with their music. Three songs that were great hits are: “Child Is The Father To The Man,” “And When I Die,” “You Made Me So Very Happy,” and “Spinning Wheel.” Their lyrics and music have captured the realities of life. This is like saying in a nutshell, “One time you're up, another time you're down. Now you're happy, then you're sad. Life's never the same.” So, why nurture feelings of ill-will about life?

Take Care Of Your Own Untapped Creativity

Sooner or later in life you will find your niche. The Gospels tell us that we each has at least one gift. Some persons are however blessed with more than one. The key is to unlock your hidden potential. Filter the noise and distraction from your life that drive you crazy. Through your “blood, sweat and tears” find peace and quiet in tackling problems. Try avoiding those things that make you irritable and distracted. Deal sensibly with contradictory evidence that may be hurtful by playing music that will lighten your mood. Develop the fruitful quality of awareness by figuring out the nature of your gift. Through meditation, trust your own experiences and soon you will find out when things gel. This will mean focusing on what is relevant in your life.

Taste Life's Possibilities

Be sure to pursue your own fulfillment, ease, joy, comfort and find abundance while observing the signs and symptoms that come your way testing your beliefs. In your quest you will be sure to see miracles. In accessing many hidden areas in your life, you will be able to sleep better, have more energy and find peace and calm. Obviously, you will need all the essential information and guidance from mentors and those you love. But as you grow and develop older you will soon realize that although work and money are important, that life consists of some other important things – especially small things that you have been overlooking all along. In a British documentary entitled, “The Possibilities Are Endless” that was released on November 7, 2014, starring Edwyn Collins and William Collins, directed by James Hall and Edward Lovelace, there is focus on many of life's infinite possibilities that are rather revealing.

As a Christian why bear a grudge when the sky is the limit?

Being reluctant to give should never be in the playbook of a Christian. He must reach out to the needy and to all he meets. Giving freely and happily is the essence of Christian living. Some Christians are avid givers of their talent and treasure. They are seen at book mobiles, libraries, hospitals and nursing homes. Such persons share their talent with the public. When it comes to treasure, it is not only the collection that they drop in the plate at church on Sundays, but other charitable organizations e.g., Red Cross, Cancer Society, Salvation Army and Food Banks, to which they give.

When giving there should be no ill-will. Indeed, Christians see themselves as being truly blessed. They, by the grace of God have worked long hours for their sustenance and are now giving back to their community. This is a God-sent calling for they have tasted life's possibilities and will always be happy givers. Such giving is wonderful for it provides vital needs mainly to the least among us. It is the old but true story that the life saved may become a shining light to all of us. So be sure to share abundantly and live peaceably with joy in your heart.
